White-labeling for your Brand
Introduction
White-labeling allows you to style Foyer to match your brand including your company logo and color schemes. This keeps a consistent experience for your clients and lets them quickly identify that your Foyer belongs to your business. This guide goes over how to set your company logo, and company color, and shows you where your branding will be shown throughout the staff and client experience.
Setting your Company Logo
Only administrator accounts can edit the white-labeling settings of your Foyer organization. So first, make sure you are logged in as an administrator account (such as the account you created when you made your organization). After signing in, look on the left drawer for the "Org" tab, and click it. Here you will see all organization-wide settings
From these options, click on the "Logo" option. You will be presented with your current logo, and two ways of uploading a new image as your logo. You can either drag-and-drop an image directly, or click the upload button to search your computer for a file to use as a logo.
We suggest you choose a small image (around 200px by 200px). You may upload either PNG or JPG (JPEG) formats. If your image is in a different format, you must covert it before uploading.
Be sure to click "Save" after uploading your image, otherwise your update will not be applied. Once you click "Save" your company logo will be updated immediately in your Foyer. It may take up to a day for the change to be propagated across all your clients and staff. To ensure client and staff have the latest logo, they must logout and login again.
Your company logo is seen on the "Sign In" page for all users, in the header of every page in your Foyer organization, and can be used in email templates when inviting clients and staff.
Setting your Company Color
To set your company color, first return to the "Org" page by clicking on the "Org" button on the left drawer. You will see an option for "Color" next to a swatch of your current company color. Click on the swatch, and you will be brought to a new page. Click again on the swatch (or in the textbox), and you will see the color picker.
You can either use the color picker, or insert a HTML (hex) color into the textbox. The HTML color option is nice if you have an exact company color you would like to match (just paste your color in).
Your selected color will be propagated throughout your organization after you click "Save". Note that it may take up to a day for the color to be updated for all your clients and staff (requesting that they sign out and sign in will immediately update their color).
Accessibility
When setting your company logo and colors, it is important that you keep your Foyer accessible to all. This means choosing a company color that matches well with text, and a logo that can be seen easily against your company colors. For example, if your company logo and colors have the same color, some users may not be able to see the logo against the background color. In this case, we suggest you edit your logo to add a border, to make it easier for all to see. We have automatic protection for this by choosing text color that is visible over your company's color, but this protection works best when your company chooses colors that have high contrast against text. For example, instead of using a medium gray color, use a dark gray or light gray color.
