Foyer Integrates with Power BI Embedded [Client Portal with Power BI]

We’re thrilled to introduce our new and improved Power BI Embedded integration now available as a Foyer App. This new integration builds on our existing Power BI setup, making it easier than ever to securely and privately embed Power BI dashboards or reports into your client portal.

What’s New?

• No Public Sharing: There’s no need to expose your Power BI dashboards or reports publicly. All content remains private, and you control exactly who can view each report.
• Granular User Access: Choose which users can access any given dashboard. Assign roles to ensure the right people see the right analytics.
• No Additional Logins: Your clients and team members can open Power BI dashboards right inside the Foyer portal - no additional logins or external links.

How to Use Power BI Embedded in Your Client Portal

1. Go to Your Foyer Org: Under Org Settings, choose Foyer Apps.
2. Add the “Power BI” App: Click “Add App” and select Power BI
3. Set Up a Service Principal: Follow this guide from Microsoft on how to configure Power BI to authenticate with Foyer via a service principal.
4. Customize the App: Navigate to the Power BI Foyer App you added, and click "Customize" and paste in your Tenant Id, Client Id, Client Secret, Workspace Id, and Report Id.
5. Set Visibility: Decide whether to show the same dashboard to all users or set up a “Per User” approach so each client sees only their relevant data.

That’s it! Your Power BI dashboards now live seamlessly alongside your documents, messages, and forms, giving you a fully integrated client experience.
